MRS BROWN GOLF CLASSIC
Even with the rain at Carton House yesterday it failed to dampen the spirits of all the golf teams and celebrities who turned up to support Charity 25. Brendan O’Carroll and his wonderful Mrs Brown cast were on hand to sign autographs and chat to the press along with other celebrities. Such a genuine, caring group of individuals who are a credit to Charity 25 and all of the charities who we represent and we are so grateful to all the charities and teams who participated in the golf day and gala evening hosted by Brendan O’Carroll. See what the media said and please ask your and friends to support our cause to raise €500,000 this year which will be equally divided out between all of our 25 Irish National Charities that we represent.
We want to sincerely thank Gary Keating and Grainne from GK Events for organising a great day for us all along with our PR people Lindsey and Deirdre from LHP. Also a big thank you to The Irish Sun, The Irish Independent, The Irish Daily Mirror, The Irish Daily Mail, The Irish Daily Star, The Evening Herald, Newstalk Radio, Today FM , RTE Radio One, 98FM, 4FM, 2FM, Q102, and we apologise for anyone we have missed out for giving us a platform to promote Charity 25’s €2WILLDO campaign. This is all possible thanks to the generous time given to us by Brendan O’Carroll and his dedicated team as well as our proud sponsor petfood.ie. as well as mobile phone operators O2, Vodafone, Meteor and 3 Mobile as well as our service provider Phonovation who have ALL waivered their normal charges so that €1.94 of every €2.00 raised can be divided equally between all of our 25 Irish National charities. We thank you all open-heartedly

BAFTA award winning, Mrs Brown and Charity 25 are proud to announce this year’s line-up of charities who will be taking part in our €2WILLDO text campaign that will be re-launched on Wednesday 6th June 2012.
Even in these harsh economic times, we as a nation never seem to turn our back on people who are less fortunate than ourselves and with the Euros Championship and Olympics just around the corner there has never been a better time to be Irish.
Charity 25’s €2WILLDO text campaign is all about giving to a number of charities all in one go and given the harsh economic times we live in we realise that money has never been tighter for us all and the whole idea behind our €2WILLDO text campaign is that everyone can give the small amount of €2.00 per month where €1.94 of your donation is divided equally between 25 Irish national charities so you are helping 25 charities all in one go.

In these challenging times we as a nation of givers, stick together and remember all money raised stays in Ireland to help the people of Ireland. If you have a mobile phone then you can participate as all you have to do is text the words 2WILLDO to 57802. While we are all enjoying the sporting fixtures this summer other people with disabilities & illnesses will be struggling with day to day life so YOU can play your part in helping these people.
Remember, Charity 25 has no paid directors, administration staff or overheads to deduct from your donation which ensures €1.94 of your donation is divided equally between all of our 25 Irish charity partners.
Charity 25 is doing our part, will you? Text the words €2WILLDO to 57802. This is a monthly text subscription service but you can stop your donation at any time by simply texting the words STOP to 57802. Full terms & conditions are available on our home page.
Thank you from team Charity 25

Mrs Agnes Brown Announced As Patron & Face of Charity 25

Charity 25 is delighted to announce that BAFTA nominee Mrs Agnes Brown (Aka Brendan O'Carroll) has agreed to become the main patron and face of their charity. Mrs Brown said "this is the most important thing I will do this year, I am very proud to be involved and being able to support 25 Irish charities".
Mrs Brown will be present at all Charity 25’s fundraising events planned for 2011. In addition to the ‘2WILLDO’ phone text campaign which launched last October, there will be four major events in 2011. These will include ‘Mrs Brown's Tea Party’ a gala ball in the Burlington Hotel on November 5th and three Mrs Brown's celebrity golf classics which will take place the week commencing the 12th of September, one in each province. (Dates provisionally at the moment to be confirmed).
Speaking at the launch, Kevin O’Brien CEO of Charity 25 said, "we are very excited and greatly appreciate Mrs Brown's commitment and involvement in our charity. With her support we will raise much needed funds for all 25 participating charities."
Charity 25 was set up by Kevin O'Brien in October 2010. With the downturn in the economy and Irish charities desperately needing funds to carry on their good work, Kevin identified an opportunity to bring a group of Irish charities together to raise funds. Charity 25 launched its first campaign '2WILLDO' in October 2010 where €1.94 from every €2 text donated is equally divided between all 25 charities. All monies raised will be divided equally between each charity. This is the first time that such a large group of Irish charities have come together for fundraising campaigns.
The charities participating in Charity 25 are - The Samaritans, Down Syndrome Ireland, Headway, Myasthenia Gravis Association, The Cystic Fibrosis Association, The Variety Club of Ireland, GROW, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Aware, DeafHear.ie, Debra Ireland, Age Action Ireland, St Joseph’s Centre for the Visually Impaired, Irish Guide Dogs Association, The Meningitis Trust, The Asthma Society of Ireland, The Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association, Laura Lynne House - The Children’s Sunshine Home, Special Olympics Ireland, MS Ireland, Teen Line Ireland, Irish Autism Action, Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, The National Association of Housing for the Visually Impaired and Irish Heart Foundation.
